. . . Is Florence + the Machine.
You may have heard this song on AltNation. It is very controversial, as it’s about two lovers kicking the crap out of one another. I love it because it tells a dark, dangerous story about violence and lust. And it has an awesome beat.
This is the song off their album, Lung, that really gets to me, however. A few people have asked me what book three of the Jane True series is about. I’ll be writing a blurb for that book shortly, to put on the website. But until then, the closest thing I can think of to a blurb for Tempest’s Legacy is this song:
Florence + the Machine – Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up) from sinner on Vimeo.
I adore it . . . and it is totally helping me keep “what’s at stake” in focus for book 3.
I hope you enjoy Florence + the Machine as much as I do.
@NicolePeeler I'll listen to the song tomorrow when I'm more alert. But I DO FOR SURE love the description of someone as "extra prison-ey"!
Check out my latest obsession (and no, it's not the dude with the full sleeves at my gym who is extra prison-ey) http://www.nicolepeeler.com/2009/10/my-l...
Music is such a great medium for identifying and delving into our emotions. "Raise It Up" is a thoughtful, emotional song; I love it. Thanks for sharing this!
